Italian scrap falls further
The Italian steel sector is preparing for further scrap price falls for January deliveries. Values have already decreased in the first contracts of the year by €20/tonne (€22) compared to December, but mills are now beginning to reduce values by €50/t, particularly for the lower grades.
The market remains quiet, with mills putting off their purchases due to price uncertainty.
