Italian rebar makers seek increases

Italian rebar producers are seeking increases despite a continued market deadlock that is seeing prices decline and buying remain subdued, market sources say.
In line with French and Spanish steelmakers who pushed up values in their domestic markets, Italian rebar mills are now asking for between €450-460/tonne ($482-493). Paid values last week reached €390-420/t base ex-works, but this week buyers who spoke to Kallanish are paying €400-440/t base e…
