Italian plate prices flatten in quiet market
The Italian plate market remains quiet this week as mills and distributors are slowly resuming activity after the August holiday break.
Not many transactions happened last week with buyers in a wait-and-see mood and demand very quiet. Sources expect the market to become livelier in a couple of weeks when buyers are foreseen coming back to purchasing. July saw very slow activity but sales in June were good, mills sources say.
