Indian scrap import market falls silent amid uncertainty
The northern India scrap import market fell silent on Thursday owing to a drop in domestic billet offers in the region. However, southern Indian scrap buyers are seen unaffected by the semi-finished steel drop.
UK-origin shredded scrap prices increased by $20-25/tonne on-week to $525-530/t cfr Nhava Sheva. US-origin and European shredded scrap prices are assessed at $527-530/t cfr Nhava Sheva.
