Indian imported scrap buyers fall silent amid uncertainty

Owing to the plunging finished steel export market coupled with falling domestic demand, Indian imported scrap buyers have fallen silent on booking orders. Sellers are heard quoting at $495-500/tonne cfr Nhava Sheva and northern India for United Arab Emirates-origin HMS1. UAE-origin HMS 1&2 80:20 offers were noted at $485-490/t cfr Nhava Sheva.
