Indian HRC imports, alloy HRC exports surge
Indian hot-rolled flat products under HS code heading 7208 exports plummeted 95.92% on-year to 14,975 tonnes in November, against 367,367t a year earlier. The fall in exports is majorly attributed to the steel export duties imposed in May. Alloy HRC exports however soared.
In January-November, Indian hot-rolled flats exports plummeted 49% on-year to 3.09 million tonnes, against 6.07mt a year earlier, Kallanish notes from Indian commerce ministry provisional data.
