Indian hot-rolled exports fall as Europe takes less
Indian hot-rolled flat steel exports plunged 30% on-year to 318,820 tonnes in May, compared to 455,160t exported a year ago, according to customs data monitored by Kallanish.
The fall in HR flat steel exports is mainly on the back of slowed intake from European customers. Out of the total 136,300t on-year downfall in Indian HR flat steel exports, 50,000t of outbound shipments were slashed to European countries.
