Hoa Phat’s first-quarter production, sales surge
Vietnamese steelmaker Hoa Phat Group has seen its production and sales rise significantly in March and the first quarter of 2024.
It produced 741,000 tonnes of crude steel in the past month, a growth of 0.7% month-on-month and 68.4% compared with the same month of 2023. This boosted its production in the first quarter to 2.1 million tonnes, a surge of 70% over the same period of last year, Kallanish notes.
