Hoa Phat cuts HRC prices in weak market

Vietnam’s Hoa Phat Dung Quat Steel has reduced its domestic hot rolled coil prices, Kallanish notes. The move reflects an extremely weak market, Vietnamese industry sources say. It will also narrow the price gap with HRC imports. The mill has cut prices by the equivalent of $20/tonne to $780/t cif Ho Chi Minh City for SAE 1006 grade HRC and to $775/t for SS400, according to company sources.
