Buyers expect higher US plate prices
Historically elevated US plate prices are expected to go even higher, with recently announced price hikes from mills anticipated to stick in the coming weeks, bolstered by healthy demand.
Kallanish currently puts its A36 plate price assessment at $1,650-1,680/short ton, ex-works, domestic mill. One year ago, prices were around $650/st.
