Hadeed's scrap buying price increase stifles billet producers
Saudi Arabia's largest steel producer, Hadeed, has announced its scrap buying price, with a SAR 75/tonne ($20) increase on previous quotes. This contradicts the company's February-rolling rebar, wire rod and rebar in coils price reduction by SAR 150/t ($40) on January, with both price announcements made on the same day, Kallanish notes.
