CIS steel output increases in April, down on-year
CIS crude steel production increased in April, according to the latest worldsteel data monitored by Kallanish. Regional output amounted to 7.5 million tonnes, up by 5.9% year-on-year.
In March, CIS production was at 7.6mt, up by 3% on-year (see Kallanish passim).
In January-April, output nevertheless fell by 7.9% on-year to 28.9mt.
Russian production last month is estimated to have increased by 1.9% to 6.4mt. Year-to-date production fell 0.6% on-year to 25.…
