China's scrap declines despite lower supply
Chinese scrap prices fell sharply last week, despite a slight decrease in supply.
On Friday, Kallanish assessed Chinese 6mm+ heavy scrap delivered to mills in eastern China's Yangtze River Delta at CNY 3,459/tonne ($566/t), including VAT. This is CNY 40/t lower than Thursday and CNY 157/t lower than last Friday.
