Canada loses 103 rigs, US gains 3
The US added three rigs for the week ended 23 December, while Canada dropped 101, Kallanish learns from energy services company Baker Hughes.
The total US count for the week is 779 – 622 are for oil and 155 are for gas. This is a total increase of 193 from the equivalent week last year.
New Mexico dropped four rigs and Wyoming lost one. North Dakota increased its rigs by two, while Texas increased its count by seven.
