Caleotto expands thin, small-diameter high-carbon wire rod output
Italian long steel producer Caleotto, part of rebar maker Feralpi, is investing in its plant in Lecco, northern Italy with two pieces of equipment supplied by SMS.
The company has procured a finishing and sizing block called MEERdrive PLUS, with commissioning scheduled in the third quarter, as well as a new large-diameter bar-in-coil line for its wire rod mill, Kallanish notes.
