Brazil’s scrap exports drop in June, imports insignificant
Brazil’s ferrous scrap exports decreased for a second consecutive month in June, Kallanish notes. Shipments, however, remained higher year-on-year.
According to the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (Mdic), scrap exports reached 45,700 tonnes in June, a fall of 10,900t compared to the previous month but 256% higher over 12,800t in June 2022.
