Brazil’s February ferrous scrap exports drop sequentially
Brazil saw ferrous scrap exports fall month-on-month in February. The volume, however, was up year-on-year, Kallanish notes. Imports remained insignificant in the month.
According to the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (Mdic), scrap exports totalled 74,100 tonnes in February, a decrease of 3,400t compared with January, but 24.8% higher y-o-y.
