Brazil’s July scrap exports up, imports dip on-year
Brazil’s ferrous scrap exports increased in July, Kallanish notes. Shipments also remained higher year-on-year.
According to the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (Mdic), scrap exports reached 58,400 tonnes in July, compared with 45,700t in the previous month and just 5,610t in July 2022.
The fob value of these shipments amounted to $21.6 million, up 13.7% over June and 330.7% higher than the $5m in the same period last year. Thi…
