Brazil’s 2022 scrap exports dip, despite December hike
Brazil saw ferrous scrap exports increase in December after three months of falling. Imports, however, remained weak, according to Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (Mdic) data.
During December, scrap exports totalled 21,600 tonnes, up 13.7% compared to 19,000t in the previous month. This volume, however, was 60.2% less on-year, Kallanish notes.
