Baosteel partners Chery on green vehicle supply chain
China’s Baosteel formally signed a memorandum regarding low-emissions steel supply chain with Chinese carmaker Chery on 14 December, Kallanish notes.
The two parties have agreed to gradually supply green steel that reduces carbon emissions by about 30% in Chery's mass-produced models starting in 2024. The steel variety is called BeyondECO.
