Bangladesh buyers hold off on scrap purchases
The imported ferrous scrap market in Bangladesh has been slow lately due to a mismatch between bids and offers, notes Kallanish.
Offers for Brazil-origin HMS (80:20) scrap are at around $406-408/tonne cfr Bangladesh, down by $5/t on week, while bids are lower, at $400/t. Offers for shredded scrap are at $420/t cfr, with bids coming in at $412-415/t.
Hong Kong-origin P&S scrap deals have been concluded at $440/t cfr.
