Austrian production increases sequentially in October, down on-year
Austria’s steelmakers increased crude steel production in October compared to the previous month, according to worldsteel data.
Output amounted to 577,313 tonnes, up by 12.3% compared to September, but 3% less on-year, Kallanish notes.
In January-October, the country produced 5.97 million tonnes of steel, down 6.5% on-year.
In full-year 2022, Austria reduced steel production by 4.7% on-year to 7.51mt.
