Austria decreases steel production on-month
Austria’s steelmakers decreased crude steel production in November compared with the previous month, according to worldsteel data.
Output amounted to 560,000 tonnes, down by 2.9% from October, but output was 0.5% higher year-on-year, Kallanish notes.
In January-November, the country produced 6.53 million tonnes of steel, down 6% on-year. In full-year 2022, Austria reduced steel production by 4.7% on-year to 7.51mt.
