Aperam increases alloy surcharges

French stainless steel producer Aperam is increasing March alloy surcharges for some of its austenitic range of flat stainless steels for Europe, on average by around €50-60/tonne ($54-64). This is due to rising raw materials values, Kallanish notes. Aperam’s surcharges for grade 304 will go from €1,992/t in February to €2,060/t effective 1 March.
