Anglo's new LNG vessel loads Kumba ore cargo
Anglo American’s new LNG dual-fuelled Capesize+ vessel, the Ubuntu Harmony, has loaded its first cargo of iron ore from the Kumba operations in South Africa. This is the first of ten LNG dual-fuelled new-build ships Anglo American will introduce to its chartered fleet during 2023-2024, delivering an estimated 35% reduction in CO2 emissions compared to marine oil-fuelled ships.
