Turkey’s TOGG establishes new company to produce batteries
Turkey’s domestic automaker Automobile Joint Venture Group (TOGG) has established a company called SIRO Clean Energy Solutions to produce battery modules and packs for TOGG.
SIRO aims to decrease foreign dependency on battery modules, Kallanish understands.
TOGG previously inked a deal with US-based Farasis for vehicle batteries in 2020. SIRO and Farasis will collaborate on the production of batteries.
