Renault, Volvo, CMA CGM start JV for electric LCVs
Renault Group and Volvo Group announced Friday plans to create a France-based joint venture to manufacture a new range of battery electric vans, starting in 2026.
The JV for which the name has not yet been revealed will start operating early next year. French logistic giant CMA CGM has vowed to invest in the company and says it may in the future replace part of its internal combustion fleet with the new electric vans produced by the JV, Kallanish notes.
