Plug Power opens hydrogen fuel cell gigafactory in western NY
Plug Power reports that it has opened what has been hailed as one of the world’s largest hydrogen fuel cell factories in Monroe County in western New York state, Kallanish reports.
The $125 million Plug Power Innovation Center in West Henrietta outside of Rochester, New York, will produce proton exchange membrane (PEM) stacks and electrolysers. The gigafactory officially opened last Friday with a grand-opening ceremony.
