Iberdrola starts 50-MW battery storage facility in Ireland

Spanish utility company Iberdrola has begun operations with Ireland’s first commercial-scale battery system – a 50-megawatt facility in the east of the country, Kallanish reports. The €28 million ($29.14m) Gorman battery is made of over 4,000 modules in 16 containers.
