EU starts EV anti-subsidy probe on BYD, Geely, SAIC
Chinese EV manufacturers BYD, Geely and SAIC are reportedly the first subjects of the European Commission’s anti-subsidy probe started on 4 October.
Both Western and Chinese media outlets cite a document issued on 25 October as evidence of the first companies to be investigated. Tesla, a major exporter of China-made EVs, is yet to be identified as a subject of the investigation. Kallanish could not confirm the information.
