Equinor’s first UK battery storage facility begins operations
Norwegian energy major Equinor announced Monday its Blandford Road battery storage asset in the UK has commenced operations.
Located in Dorset, the 25-megawatt/50-megawatt-hour facility was developed and will be operated by British battery storage company Noriker Power. Equinor, which owns a 45% equity share in Noriker, wholly owns the facility, Kallanish notes.
