Duke Energy begins commercial operations at North Carolina BESS
Duke Energy has started commercial operation of the largest battery energy storage system in the state of North Carolina, Kallanish reports.
The 11-megawatt project is located in Onslow County on leased land within the US Marine Corps’ Camp Lejeune. It will frequently operate with an adjacent 13-MW solar facility, also within the camp.
