BMW Group says hydrogen fuel cell cars are BEV alternative
BMW Group believes hydrogen-powered cars could be an “attractive” alternative for battery-electric drive trains, Kallanish learns from the company.
The German carmaker began last week its testing programme for the “near standard” BMW i Hydrogen NEXT. The prototype of the fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV) is driving on European roads to test its efficiency, safety, convenience and reliability ahead of a small series launch in 2022.
