BHP upgrades its forecast on 2035 EV take-up
BHP has revised upwards its 2035 electric vehicle fleet forecast by 39 million units, as it anticipates faster than expected EV penetration, Kallanish learns from the company.
According to its economic outlook published on Tuesday, EVs are forecast to constitute around 17% of the light duty vehicle fleet by 2035 and around 41% of annual sales. This fleet share now translates into 314 million EVs on the road, versus a previous estimate of 275m.
