Avalon purchases Ontario site for lithium-processing plant
Avalon Advanced Materials says it has purchased an industrial site in northwest Ontario where it plans to build a lithium hydroxide refinery, Kallanish reports.
The site for the planned midstream, processing plant is in Thunder Bay. The region is strategically located at a provincial midpoint between lithium resources to the north and downstream EV battery and automotive manufacturing hubs to the south, the Ontario-based company says.
