6K Energy breaks ground on $216m Tennessee battery plant
Massachusetts-based 6K Energy broke ground on Tuesday for what it says will be the world’s first sustainable multi-chemistry cathode manufacturing plant, Kallanish reports.
The $216 million PlusCAM battery material production plant in Jackson, in Tennessee’s Madison County, is scheduled to begin production in Q3 2024. The production capacity will be 13,000 tonnes/year.
