Dr. Adam is Vice President of Tata Steel, President of Eurofer and Chairman of Tata Steel Netherlands Holding. He also chairs the Steel Institute VDEh in Germany. He provides a vast experience in the steel industry, including production, sales, marketing and leadership roles outside the company i.e. at WorldAutoSteel. Dr. Adam joined Tata Steel in 2011 as Chief Commercial Officer for the Tata Steel Europe, following his tenure as CEO of ThyssenKrupp Electrical Steel and various roles at ThyssenKrupp before. Born in Essen, Germany, he holds a mechanical engineering degree and specializes in automotive engineering and materials application. Dr. Adam's career began in 1991 in vehicle safety technologies, later advancing to Managing Director of a German engineering consultancy. His contributions have shaped the industry's direction, emphasizing innovation and excellence in steel manufacturing.

Carlo, entrepreneur and manager, is CEO of Donalam, in Romania, and LME (Laminés Marchands Européenes), in France, both companies of AFV Beltrame Group. For the Group, he is also responsible for Development & Innovation and M&A. He sits on the Board of Directors, where he is in charge of the Quality Steels Division. Over the past 20 years, he has held various positions in Italy and abroad. As head of M&A activities at the Italian parent company and thanks to his vision in terms of innovation, he has been able to bring a fundamental contribution to the company's development with great attention to cutting-edge and sustainable technologies. Since 2007 he has joined Donalam, managing its investment programs and all industrial operations, leading it to important results and considerable growth over the years.

Stanislav is the CEO GMK Center, Chair of the Committee for Environment and Sustainable Development of the European Business Association, President of CSCMP Ukraine Roundtable. Last 5 years provides consulting services for Ukrainian iron & steel companies in sustainability issues, supply chains, CAPEX policy, market analysis. Stanislav Zinchenko has 15-years experience in consulting for manufacturing companies. He has expertise in operational management and supply chains as a team leader, consultant and analyst in international projects in the field of entrepreneurship, operational efficiency and logistic infrastructure. Stanislav has an MA in International Economics at Kyiv National Economic University.

Cesare is the Board Managing Director of CLN Group, where he is responsible for the steel service centre business, working for 15 years in CLN Group, focused on automotive components' production. He is a graduate of mechanical engineering from Politecnico Milan university and has over 40 years’ experience, covering different roles in the global steel industry. Cesare had experiences in top steel production companies and in important steel distribution groups too, as General Manager and Board Managing Director.

Selçuk was born in İskenderun, Türkiye. He graduated from Istanbul Technical University (İTÜ), department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering in 2008. Having worked as Production Manager and Production Director at various flat steel mills between 2009-2018, he joined Yıldız Demir Çelik AŞ as Supply Chain Director, in March 2018. During this period He also completed EMBA program at Sabancı University. Since August 2022, Selçuk is acting as Deputy General Manager for Commercial at Yıldız Demir Çelik.

Stefano Ferrari was born in 1980 and graduated in Consumer Goods, Retail Distribution and Business Communication from the IULM University in Milan, before joining Siderweb SpA in 2005. After five years in journalism, in 2009 he became managing director of Siderweb, the Italian steel community. In 2013 and 2015 he ran the press office for Made in Steel, the biggest trade fair for the southern European steel industry, and since January 2014 has worked in the Siderweb Studies Office.

Fernando is the Presedent of EUROMETAL, a position he has held since December 2018, and is the Managing Director of Layde Steel (Tata Steel Europe) since January 2009. As a senior executive leading transformation through growth, customer oriented actions and full involvement of the organisation, Fernando has more than 20 years of experience in highly demanding commercial organisations, of which 10 years acting as Managing Director promoting the change and market focus to take back to profits a complex entity. Involvement includes all stakeholders, and all levels of the company, including management of the multinational.

Alessandro started his career as a consultant in M&A, taxation and corporate finance, he then joined Duferco where he developed his skills as a steel manager. After some years in MMK group as export manager he joined Deltasteel Group where he managed the steel business unit. Since November 2016 he is CEO at Gamma Trade Sa, a Swiss based company, active in steel trading and distribution mainly focused in import of flats into Europe, adding value to European manufacturers through logistic, financing and hedging services.

Derek Langston has worked for two of the largest shipbrokers in the world in a career spanning more than 20 years, and was appointed Global Head of Dry Cargo Research at Braemar in 2023. Previously, Derek was Head of Research at SSY from 2019 to 2023. Derek has been engaged for shipping research and consultancy work by a diverse client base including shipowners, operators, trading houses, utilities, mining companies, agricultural producers, government departments, banks and investment funds.  

Born on the 27th of December 1958 Julian Verden was educated at St John’s Preparatory School, Pinner, then at St Edward’s School, Oxford. After which he entered the Steel Trading and Distribution Industry, where he has worked for over 45 years. He is currently Stemcor Group’s Managing Director for Europe.  Julian sits on the Stemcor Group’s Trading Management, Business Committee and Derivatives Management Teams.  Julian is also current Chairman  and past Treasurer  of the International Steel Trade Association. He sits on the Presidency of Eurometal, the Association of European Distributors, and is also a member of the London Metal Exchange Steel Committee. Julian joined the Samac Group in 1978 and purchased their UK steel import business in 1991. He subsequently sold it to the Stemcor Group in 1998, who are one of the world’s leading International Steel Traders and Distributors. Julian joined the Worshipful Company of Ironmongers by redemption in 2003, became a Freeman of the City of London in 2004, joined the Livery in 2006 and then the Court in 2009. Julian became the Master for the standard 1 year term in July 2022 having served as both Junior and Senior Warden. Julian is married to Zehan and together then have 2 sons, Harry & Theo.

Stéphane is technical head for governmental affairs and climate change within ArcelorMittal Europe. In that function, he contributes to the decarbonization roadmap of European entities, its financing and control of regulatory impacts. Previously Stéphane has been Chief Marketing Officer in charge of Packaging, Oil and gas, and Electrical Steel segments within ArcelorMittal Europe Flat Products as well Chief Executive Officer of ArcelorMittal Avelino & Canossa in Italy. Stéphane holds a degree as sales engineer from the Esidec business school in Metz (France) and he is a graduate in mechanical engineering.

Giovan is Group Sustainability and Environment Director of AFV Beltrame Group, a company active in the steel industry since 1896. Since he arrived at Beltrame almost two decades ago, he has always been involved in sustainability, first as Group Environmental Director and later as Group EHS & Sustainability Director. After training as a nuclear engineer at the Polytechnic University of Turin, he worked in various companies as an expert in environmental and sustainability policies.

Alessandro (born 1970) holds the position of Director of Economic and Market Analysis at the European Steel Association (EUROFER) based in Brussels, where he carries out economic research and analysis linked to the steel sector. Prior to joining EUROFER, he held for over ten years equivalent positions at other Brussels-based European trade associations (namely in the mortgage lending sector and the cement sector) and, before that, he worked for the Economic Studies Office of a leading cement and construction group in Rome, Italy, and for the European Institute of Public Administration (EIPA) in Maastricht, the Netherlands. He holds a PhD in Economics (1999) and a Degree in political science (1995) from the University of Pisa, Italy. He has dual nationality (Italian and Belgian) and is fluent in English, French and Italian.

Gorkem received his master's degree in Management of Business Administration in 2002 from La Salle University, Philadelphia, USA. He started his career in the US, working in multinational companies such as Saint Gobain. Later, he went on to work in the stock market fortune 500 company SEI Investments as a mutual fund trader in the US. In 2005, he took a challenge in the steel industry and started to work for steel producers as an executive for export markets. Then, he was appointed as a director of the steel desk of LN metals, a commodity trading company in London. In 2012, Gorkem founded Galex Steel International -- a trading house mainly focused on flat steel products and exports to Europe, Turkey, South America, Middle East and Far East. Galex represents reputable government and private mills from China, India and Turkey on regional or project basis. The company covers global markets through its offices in Turkey, China, India and Russia.

James Moss, partner in First River, has been a strategy consultant in Europe and the United States since 1985, helping steel companies develop and implement business & corporate strategies. He has consulted widely with the North American and international steel industries since 1989 on a wide range of assignments from senior team building to wholesale strategic and organizational change. James’ work is focused on helping senior executives develop clearly focused strategies that lead to growth and superior returns. Prior to forming First River with partner Tony Taccone in 1998, James practiced independently following many years as a consultant with Beddows & Company, now part of HATCH. James also co-hosts the Willy Korf Foundation’s Green Steel Challenge podcast along with Dr Mike Walsh. James is a dual citizen of the US & the United Kingdom and lives in Pittsburgh, PA. He holds a Masters in Strategy & Organization Development from Pepperdine University, California, and a Masters in English Literature from Cambridge University, England.

Alexander is an Associate Partner of McKinsey’s Brussels office, part of McKinsey’s global leadership team for strategy in the materials sector and has worked with clients across the global materials and in particular steel value chain for over 7 years. With an engineering background and passion for geopolitics, he helps clients build their growth and decarbonization strategies in a volatile and uncertain world. Over the past years, he’s worked with clients globally to shape their decarbonization strategy and capex projects in order to reach Net Zero, helped assess the opportunity of de-couple ironmaking and steelmaking value chains for various players, understand the impact of steel growth and decarbonization on key feedstock providers and assess the evolution of the metallics mix across global geographies under various climate action scenarios and resource constraints.

Over more than 20 years, Luciana built her career in Communications in large companies. In line with the company's strategy, Communications can bring incredible results, such as engaging employees, stimulating dialogue between internal and external stakeholders, and acquiring a social license in large enterprises. Patrik studied business economics and management in English at Matej Bel University in Banska Bystrica, Slovakia. After graduation, he started working at Hyundai Steel Slovakia as a marketing assistant in 2022 and later transferred to the sales department. Patrik is responsible for general customers (a stamping company), and is a member of the CFT global sales team, where they are actively searching for potential customers (especially chassis and body-in-white stamping companies) in Central Europe. Patrik maintains marketing activities, monitoring raw material prices and the steel market situation in Europe. In addition, he is a member of the project management team regarding IATF and customer audits.
