  • Production: After seeing activity spike in mid-March, Dexin’s blast furnaces saw activity, based on satellite heat readings, retreat again last week to levels seen consistently since mid-February.
  • Flats: Hot rolled coil prices continue to shoot up in Vietnam despite the release of fresh offers from domestic mills.
  • Longs: Long product import markets in Southeast Asia are holding firm. Buyers continue to book non-Chinese longs because of price competitiveness
  • Semis: Suppliers are still pressing for price gains in the East Asian billet market, but Chinese importers are not accepting higher prices.
  • Raw Materials: Recent Vietnamese scrap bookings reflect that the market is relatively stable on-week.
  • Extra Monthly Data: Country Analsys: Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines, Singapore.
