Zlatoust Metallurgical Plant increases Q1 stainless steel production
Russia’s Zlatoust Metallurgical Plant (ZMP) increased stainless steel production in the first quarter of 2020 by 10.9% on-year to 22,425 tonnes, Kallanish notes.
ZMP’s share in the domestic market is 23.7% for the first four month of the year.
In 2019 Zlatoust’s steel production amounted to 123,446t, representing 40.5% of Russia’s total stainless steel output. This volume was 8.9% higher compared to 2018, the company confirms.
