Zhanjiang Steel commissions levelling and shearing unit
Baosteel's Zhanjiang plant in southern China's Guangdong Province commissioned a leveling and trimming unit for its 2,250mm hot strip mill on 29 July, according to company news.
The unit has 500,000 tonnes/year of capacity, including 150,000 t/y of shearing and 500,000 t/y of levelling, Kallanish notes.
The construction of this project started on 15 April last year, and is under the responsibility of China's MCC20 Company.
