Zaporizhstal’s June production falls, capacities still at 50%

Ukrainian flat steel producer Zaporizhstal, partially owned by Metinvest, decreased crude steel production in January-June, the company says. It produced 922,300 tonnes, down by 46.4% on-year, Kallanish notes. Pig iron output also decreased by 51.9% to 1.13 million tonnes, while rolled steel production fell 53.4% to 839,400t.
