Zaporizhkoks increases coke output in first quarter
Ukraine’s Zaporizhkoks plant, part of Metinvest, increased production of blast furnace coke in March compared to the previous month. Output amounted to 74,000 tonnes, up by 6.5% on-month and 1.6% more on-year, Kallanish notes.
The plant’s output in February was less by 2.5% on-month, but was up 6% on-year to 69,500t.
January-March production of blast furnace coke thus rose 1% on-year to 214,800t.
