Yunnan reports higher removed mislabeled capacity
Southwestern China’s Yunnan province eliminated 6 million tonnes/year of mislabelled steel capacity last year, higher than its 5.516m t/y target.
It also cut 1.515m t/y of iron and 550,000 t/y of steel capacity last year, according to Yunnan Daily. This helped the province's steel sector business revenue increase 37% to CNY 110.77 billion ($17.53 million), Kallanish notes.
