Yemen, North America, Singapore boost Turkish rebar exports
Turkish rebar exports grew 12% on-year in March to 681,218 tonnes, according to Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data monitored by Kallanish. They also surged 25% versus February.
Average price was $728/tonne versus $562/t a year earlier and $703/t in February 2022.
Major market Yemen came storming back in March, sourcing 106,147t of rebar from Turkey, more than double on-year. Israel sourced 94,794t, up 55% on-year.
