Yancoal halts Australian coal mine on safety fears
China’s Yancoal has been forced to halt operations at its Austar coal mine in New South Wales following an event at one of its coal seams. Yancoal is also seeking a review of a prohibition of mining at its Hunter Valley operations, Kallanish notes.
