Wuyang Steel orders slab caster from Primetals
Wuyang Iron & Steel has ordered Primetals' bow-type caster for its Wugang plant in Hunan Province. The 1 million tonne/year caster can exert force of up to 5,000 kilonewtons per roll
This 1-strand continuous caster will produce the world's thickest slabs, measuring up to 460 millimeters in thickness, Primetals introduced. The products are in widths of 1,600-2,500mm, thicknesses of 370mm, 420mm and 460mm, and fixed length2 of 2.1-7 meters.
