Worthington profits rise on steel processing strength
Flat-rolled steel processor and fabricator Worthington Industries witnessed a year-on-year uptick in its fiscal third quarter earnings, due primarily to gathering strength in its steel processing division.
Worthington earned $35.9 million on sales of $703.4m in the quarter ended 28 February. In fiscal Q3 2016, the company earned 29.8m on sales of $647.1m, Kallanish notes.
