Worldwide oil/gas rig count grows as 2020 begins
The number of working oil and gas rigs operating worldwide rose month-on-month in January 2020, according to the Baker Hughes monthly rig count, monitored by Kallanish. An increase in numbers in the North American region was counterbalanced somewhat by a smaller fall in international markets.
The number of rigs operating in the US fell by quantity 13 on-month to 791 in January, while those in Canada rose by 69 to 204.
