Welspun restarts Anjar plant to complete export order
Welspun has been granted permission by the Anjar district administration to restart its Anjar plant during the Indian nationwide lockdown.
The firm is therefore commencing longitudinal submerged arc welded (LSAW) pipemaking at Anjar and carrying out “… an export order of strategic importance,” it says in a note seen by Kallanish.
Its three remaining India-based pipe mills will be restarted gradually when conditions allow.
