French tube-maker Vallourec, has recently signed a three-year contract with German oil and gas company Wintershall Holding to supply its entire range of tubular solutions for casing and tubing, Kallanish notes.

The supply will cover Germany, the Netherlands, Libya, Abu Dhabi and Norway, the main countries in which Wintershall operates.

The agreement also includes a comprehensive range of services, such as 24/7 on-site running assistance and the implementation of extensive supply chain solutions leading to cost and cash-flow optimisation. 

On the back of this new contract, the tubemaker will also take part in Wintershall’s future major projects supplying both technical support and material, a Vallourec representative tells Kallanish. This includes schemes such as the recently approved Maria development in Norway, the company adds.
